U.S. 422 Construction Update: Traffic Disruptions Expected

LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced the continuation of construction in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, on U.S. 422 next week as part of an $83.6 million project. This initiative aims to reconstruct and enhance a 2.1-mile section of the expressway, including bridge replacements between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.

From Monday, September 9, to Friday, September 13, westbound U.S. 422 will experience intermittent lane closures between Evergreen Road and Armand Hammer Boulevard from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM. On the eastbound side, lane closures will occur between Keim Street and Evergreen Road from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Motorists should anticipate delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time. All construction schedules are subject to weather conditions.
