Two Women Arrested in Wilmington on Drug Charges

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have arrested two women on multiple drug-related charges following an operation by the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division.

On February 27, at approximately 1:49 p.m., officers were in the 600 block of West 5th Street when they observed two women allegedly engaged in drug-related activity. The suspects, 23-year-old Celita Colon and 24-year-old Destiny Rowe, were taken into custody without incident.

Upon arrest, police reportedly recovered 73.7 grams of fentanyl, 102.9 grams of marijuana, 20 grams of mushrooms, $361 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

Colon faces multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver in Tier 3 quantity, two counts of possession of a controlled substance in Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy (second degree), and possession of drug paraphernalia. After arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, she was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $102,200 cash-only bail.

Rowe has been charged with similar offenses, including possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver in Tier 3 quantity, two counts of possession of a controlled substance in Tier 3 quantity, conspiracy (second degree), and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $72,200 cash-only bail.

As the legal proceedings continue, it’s important to remember that these are allegations and both Colon and Rowe are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Additional information may be released as the investigation continues and more details become available.
