WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police announced the arrest of three males on allegations of gun possession and drug trafficking.
At approximately 12:40 p.m. on December 25, officers from the Uniformed Services Division responded to a call concerning a suspicious vehicle located on the 2800 block of North Tatnall Street. Upon arrival, contact was made with the individuals in the vehicle – identified as 18-year-old Karron Harrigan, 19-year-old Nazir Cassidy, and a 16-year-old male juvenile.
Following a brief on-site investigation, all three males were taken into custody without incident. The police reportedly recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun, 161 grams of marijuana, and $1,243 in cash.
Harrigan has been charged with Second Degree Conspiracy, in addition to traffic violations. After his arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, he was released on his own recognizance.
Cassidy faces more severe allegations, including Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Post-arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 11, Cassidy was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $30,100 secured bail.
The 16-year-old male juvenile was processed on an outstanding warrant and subsequently released on $100 unsecured bail.
These charges remain allegations and not proof of guilt. All accused individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
