PHILADELPHIA, PA — The TravelingWiki Foundation has announced the recent integration of its travel and employment resources into the Philadelphia Autism Project, marking a significant expansion of services for the autism community in the region. Known as the world’s largest non-profit online resource for documenting support for the non-visible disability community at U.S. airports, the foundation now offers resources in 11 languages, aiming to enhance accessibility and support for individuals with autism.
The foundation’s collaboration with the Philadelphia Autism Project builds on its previous initiatives in Pennsylvania, including notable events at PNC Park with the Pittsburgh Pirates to promote autism and special needs awareness. These events not only raised awareness but also helped generate funds for local charities, emphasizing the foundation’s commitment to community engagement.
TravelingWiki has also announced the launch of three new free phone-based resources to further support the community: 641-7-AUTISM, 224-NO-BULLY, and 781-2-TRAVEL. These lines provide crucial assistance to individuals and families, reflecting the foundation’s ongoing efforts to expand its reach and impact.
Jonathan Sutter, CEO of TravelingWiki Foundation, expressed the organization’s dedication to broadening its services, stating, “TravelingWiki is deeply committed to offering free services throughout the state of Pennsylvania as it expands services to all 50 States. We stand ready to assist with those community members throughout Pennsylvania and beyond in the areas we serve with free resources in 11 languages.”
In addition to the phone lines, TravelingWiki’s resources are accessible via their official website and YouTube channel (@TravelingWiki). The foundation’s rapid growth and international engagement highlight its role as a vital resource for the autism community, providing much-needed support in travel and employment.
