MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that pipe replacement work will disrupt traffic on Route 113 in Trappe Borough and Upper Providence and Perkiomen townships, Montgomery County.
From Monday, July 29, through Wednesday, July 31, Route 113 (Trappe Road/Third Avenue) will be closed between Black Rock Road and Main Street in Upper Providence Township and Trappe Borough. The closure will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this period, motorists will be detoured via Black Rock Road, Route 29 (Collegeville Road/Second Avenue), and Main Street.
On Thursday, August 1, and Friday, August 2, the closure will shift to Route 113 (Third Avenue/Bridge Road) between Main Street and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Trappe Borough and Perkiomen Township. These closures will also take place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with motorists directed to use Main Street and Route 29 (Second Avenue).
Local access will be maintained throughout the work zone. However, drivers should anticipate traffic backups and delays. Extra travel time is advised. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and stay updated on traffic conditions to minimize disruptions.
