BLUE BELL, PA — The Columbus Organization has announced the appointment of Melissa Koontz as Regional Vice President for Care Coordination, enhancing their leadership team in care coordination. Koontz, who joined Columbus following their acquisition of Shift NJ in 2021, brings extensive experience in performance management and care coordination. Her background includes roles as a field-based Support Coordinator and CEO, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Carlos Hernandez, Senior VP of Care Coordination at Columbus, praised Koontz’s capabilities, stating, “Melissa has proven that she can elevate every role to its ultimate potential. She brings a unique blend of analytical and leadership savvy to the position.”

In her new role, Koontz will oversee half of the company’s nationwide operations, leading field teams and ensuring compliance with state requirements. Her leadership will focus on standardizing care coordination operations and driving excellence in service delivery. Koontz officially steps into her new responsibilities on October 1, 2024.
