Teenager Injured in Wilmington Shooting, Police Seek Public’s Help

WILMINGTON, DE — A 17-year-old male was injured in a shooting incident in Wilmington. The shooting took place Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, at around 5:42 p.m. in the 1800 block of West 4th Street.

Upon their arrival at the scene, Wilmington Police found the young man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to the hospital and is currently reported to be in stable condition. In respect of privacy norms, the victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

The incident is under active investigation by the police department. While details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, authorities are working diligently to uncover more information.
