DOYLESTOWN, PA — As revelers across Doylestown Borough were raising their glasses to welcome the new year, one local teen was allegedly celebrating in a less lawful manner.
On December 31, 2023, Central Bucks Regional Police responded to a burglary in progress at the Station Tap House, a popular watering hole on West Ashland Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the establishment’s rear glass door smashed and several bottles of liquor missing from the bar.
A search of the surrounding area led police to a 16-year-old male juvenile found in possession of the stolen bottles. Officers noted the teen appeared visibly intoxicated, with bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
The young man was taken into custody without incident, and after obtaining medical clearance, was remanded to the Bucks County Youth Center. According to Central Bucks Regional Police, a Juvenile Allegation has been filed against him.
The charges listed in the allegation include burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, purchase of alcohol by a minor, and public drunkenness. As is standard in such cases, the juvenile is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
