CHERRY HILL, NJ — The TD Charitable Foundation has announced its 19th annual Housing for Everyone grant program, making $7.2 million in funding available to address the challenges faced by low- and moderate-income families in maintaining homeownership.
This year’s program focuses on providing grants of $200,000 each to nonprofit organizations offering post-purchase resources. These resources are designed to help families and individuals tackle financial pressures such as rising property taxes and utility costs, ensuring stability for homeowners before financial difficulties reach a crisis point.
“The national affordable housing crisis impacts not only those struggling to find a home, but those trying to maintain ownership of a home,” said Paige Carlson-Heim, Head of Social Impact at TD Bank. “With property taxes and utility expenses on the rise, we are committed to elevating the work of nonprofits who offer education and preventative support measures for families and individuals.”
The Foundation plans to award 36 grants to 501(c)3 organizations across the bank’s service areas, which span from Maine to Florida and the Detroit metro. Funding priorities include programs focused on foreclosure prevention, post-purchase counseling, energy efficiency improvements, legal assistance, and property tax relief initiatives.
Since it began in 2005, the Housing for Everyone program has provided more than $56 million in funding to over 585 affordable housing projects, reflecting TD’s commitment to financial confidence and community development through its TD Ready Commitment initiative.
Applications for the 2025 program are open until February 6, 2025, with winners to be announced in May. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to submit proposals that demonstrate the greatest potential to positively impact families facing barriers to sustaining homeownership.
The initiative continues to tackle the growing need for sustainable housing solutions and showcases TD Charitable Foundation’s dedication to empowering communities through targeted support for affordable housing programs.
