PHILADELPHIA, PA — Talaria Transportation, LLC, a privately-held logistics firm catering to the legal cannabis industry, is gearing up for significant growth in 2024. The company has announced plans to launch a new distribution platform in New York and New Jersey and expand its reach into seven new states via its subsidiary companies, National Secure Transport and Melly Home Delivery.
Talaria, renowned for secure statewide transportation of raw material, finished products, and lab samples, aims to roll out its new distribution platform next year. This platform will enable the company to warehouse products and manage them for brands and dispensaries. The company anticipates launching this platform in New York by February 2024, with New Jersey following in March.
Meanwhile, National Secure Transport, a Talaria subsidiary, is set to extend its footprint from 29 states to 36 by the end of 2024. Melly Home Delivery, another Talaria branch, intends to expand its services into Missouri, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York before the year’s close.
“Our 2024 expansion plans will get us closer to our goal of serving every state with regulated cannabis,” said Ari Raptis, CEO and founder of Talaria. “Between the launch of our distribution platform and our expansion into several new states, 2024 is going to be a great year for supporting the invisible infrastructure of the cannabis industry.”
Since its launch in 2017, Talaria Transportation has emerged as a key player in cannabis logistics. Guided by Ari Raptis, recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Rising Star by Marijuana Venture, the company employs over 250 people across 29 states. It prides itself on utilizing retired police officers and military veterans to execute all deliveries, ensuring the secure and compliant transport of cannabis products.
