PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced temporary closures of Tacony Street in Northeast Philadelphia as part of ongoing overhead bridge construction under the $270 million I-95/BS2 reconstruction project.

Tacony Street will be closed between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street on Saturday, January 11, and Saturday, January 18, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During this time, motorists will follow a detour via Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street.

Drivers traveling near the construction site are advised to plan for delays and allow extra time for their commute, as congestion is expected in the area. All construction activities are weather dependent.
