Suspect Sought in Alleged Credit Card Fraud at Passmore Service Center

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police Troop is investigating an alleged case of access device fraud that took place at the Passmore Service Center on State Route 100, Washington Township, Berks County. The incident reportedly occurred on October 5, 2023.

According to the investigation, a Honda Generator model E7000IAN, valued at $6,360, was unlawfully purchased using fraudulent credit card information. The suspect arrived at the service center around 4:47 pm and left with the generator, which has the serial number EEJD-1377431.

The perpetrator is described as a black male, aged between 30 and 40 years, with glasses and a black mustache. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white polo-style shirt, khaki shorts, and gray Crocs. He was seen driving a burgundy Ford Explorer, model year ranging from 2011 to 2019.

Authorities are urging anyone with information related to this case to contact PSP Reading at 610-378-4011. Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously to the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477).
