LANCASTER, PA — Sunrise Valley Construction and Stobro Construction have announced their merger, combining forces to deliver more garages and horse barns across Pennsylvania. The unified company aims to leverage its larger workforce to enhance customer service and craftsmanship.

John King, Sales and General Manager of Sunrise Valley Construction, expressed enthusiasm about the merger. “Our vision is to become known for exceptional customer service and top-quality craftsmanship throughout the Mid-Atlantic, while empowering our team to be inspirational leaders,” he said.

King founded Sunrise Valley Construction in 2014 after working for his uncle’s construction business, which specialized in pole buildings. Similarly, David and Daniel Stoltzfus established Stobro Construction in 2017, inspired by their experience working for their uncle’s company, SMS Builders. In early 2023, they acquired SMS Builders’ clientele list when their uncle retired.

Both companies faced economic challenges and staff shortages in 2023, limiting their project capacity. Recognizing their potential for growth, the firms decided to merge and address their staffing issues. This partnership creates a four-crew field team, enabling the company to serve more customers and undertake high-end equine facilities and garage projects.

“We will continue to work towards being the go-to company for all types of projects, ranging from simple pole buildings to state-of-the-art equine facilities,” King added.

The merger positions the company to better meet the demands of property owners throughout Pennsylvania, ensuring high standards of quality and service.
