State Police Seeks Public’s Help in Identifying Gas Station Theft Suspect in Berks County

BARTO, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Reading Barracks is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft case at the Shell Gas Station located in Barto, Berks County. The incident occurred during closed hours on November 17, 2023, causing an estimated loss of $9,100.

According to the PSP Reading Barracks, the suspect allegedly stole lottery tickets and cigarette cartons from the gas station located at 1325 PA-100, Barto. The unidentified male suspect was caught on camera entering the premises after hours. He was seen driving a white Subaru Legacy four-door sedan and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, and white/black sneakers at the time of the alleged crime.

The PSP Reading Barracks has released images of the suspect and the vehicle in hopes that someone will recognize them and provide information leading to his identification. In a statement, they reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and businesses in the area and appealed to anyone with information about the incident or the suspect to come forward.
