CHADDS FORD, PA — HBO will close two state highways in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County, starting Monday, July 8. The closures are part of projects conducted under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
From 6:00 AM on July 8 to 6:00 PM on July 11, Beaver Dam Road will be closed between Brandywine Creek Road and Beaver Valley Road. Motorists should use Brandywine Creek Road, Route 92 (Ramsey Road), and Beaver Valley Road as detours.
During the same period, Smithbridge Road will be closed between Ridge Road and Heyburn Road. Drivers are advised to follow Ridge Road and U.S. 202 for alternate routes.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zones, but motorists should plan for extra travel time due to expected backups and delays. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
