AKRON, PA — Stadia Church Planting has announced a strategic partnership with the non-profit organization Dying to Restart, aiming to transform struggling churches into flourishing congregations. This collaboration focuses on guiding churches that face closure through a strategic process of “death” and “resurrection,” allowing them to be reborn as vibrant new entities.
Founded in 2019, Dying to Restart specializes in consulting and coaching churches through this transformative journey. The organization helps them embrace a “strategic death,” which paves the way for a new beginning. With this partnership, Stadia will leverage its Discovery, Startup, and Post-Launch Services to enhance the revitalization efforts.
Dan Turner, founder of Dying to Restart, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that churches working with both organizations have experienced significant growth. This collaboration aims to extend similar opportunities to more churches, fostering the development of new, community-focused congregations.
Doug Foltz, Senior Director of Church Startup Services at Stadia, highlighted the urgent need for new churches, given the high rate of closures each year. This partnership is poised to address this gap, rejuvenating church communities across the nation.
Stadia’s COO, Matt Murphy, emphasized the alignment between the two organizations’ missions, which are rooted in church planting and community renewal. Together, they aim to bring hope and vitality to areas where churches are struggling, ultimately creating spaces where the next generation can connect and thrive.
