LANCASTER, PA — Silvermist Recovery Center will hold its first “Healing Beyond Boundaries: A Discussion Celebrating Recovery, Diversity & Community” on Friday, December 13, at the Lancaster Moravian Center, 227 N. Queen Street, 2nd Floor, Downtown Lancaster. This free, all-ages event is open to the public, with doors opening at 5:00 PM and the program starting at 6:00 PM.
The event aims to provide a holistic discussion on recovery from addiction while fostering awareness and support within the community. Chris Dreisbach, founder of Blueprints for Addiction Recovery and an advocate for recovery, will host the evening.
The panel of distinguished speakers includes Alyssa Hess, a recovery advocate from STR Behavioral Health; David W. Ashworth, President Judge of Lancaster County Drug Court; Pastor Mandy Mastros, a licensed social worker from Lancaster Moravian Church; and Nicole Schwartz, a psychiatric nurse practitioner from The Ranch of PA. Together, they will share personal experiences, discuss recovery’s many facets, and highlight available local resources.
“Recovery is not just about overcoming substance use; it’s about building a life filled with purpose, connection, and hope,” said Dreisbach. Michael Hess, National Clinical Liaison for Pyramid-Silvermist, added, “There’s no one-size-fits-all solution to recovery. Addressing mental, physical, and social aspects empowers individuals to reclaim their lives.”
The event is designed to inspire attendees, provide valuable insights into addiction recovery, and break the stigma surrounding substance use.
