McAndrews’ commitment to special education law started early on. She began working for McAndrews Law Offices in high school, fostering a passion for serving individuals with disabilities and their families. After college, she worked as a special educator in the Philadelphia area before attending law school.
During her time at George Mason University School of Law, she interned at University Legal Services, the Protection & Advocacy group for people with disabilities in the District of Columbia. She also participated in the Juvenile and Special Education Law Clinic at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law.
Upon graduating from law school, McAndrews continued to represent individuals with special needs and their families, both at McAndrews Law Offices and through a clerkship with Delaware’s Community Legal Aid Society, Inc. (CLASI). She routinely presents on special education and disability-related topics across multiple states and for national organizations.
Outside of her professional life, McAndrews resides with her husband and two children. Her dedication to her work and the impact she has made on the lives of countless families is a testament to her commitment to her practice and the broader community.
