Scholarship Program Offers $360,000 to Help College-Bound Students

The Green Family Foundation and Firstrust Bank

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — The Green Family Foundation and Firstrust Bank are now accepting applications for the 56th annual Samuel A. Green Scholarship Program. This initiative will award $360,000 in multi-year academic scholarships to high school seniors in the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley regions who are preparing to attend college.

The scholarships, designed to support students over the course of their studies, include awards of up to $20,000 for those attending four-year institutions, evenly distributed over four years. Students attending community colleges can receive up to $10,000, provided over two years.

Richard J. Green, Trustee of the Green Family Foundation and Chairman of Firstrust Bank, expressed pride in the program’s lasting impact. “The Green Family Foundation and Firstrust Bank are pleased to celebrate 56 years of the Samuel A. Green Scholarship Program,” Green said. “Since its inception, the program has provided opportunities and opened doors for students, empowering the next generation of leaders to use their education to create positive change in their communities. Built on the legacy of my grandfather, Firstrust’s Founder, we continue to honor his memory by awarding multi-year scholarships that support students over the course of their college experience as they grow into young professionals.”

Eligibility Requirements

The scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors from public, private, charter, or parochial schools, as well as home-schooled students, technical school graduates, and GED recipients. Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in a community college or a four-year, not-for-profit accredited institution. Only U.S. citizens or legal residents living or attending school in the Greater Philadelphia or Lehigh Valley regions are eligible.
