BENSALEM TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has rescheduled the closure of Rockhill Drive and two U.S. 1 ramps in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, following a postponement earlier this month due to inclement weather. The closures will now take place from 8:00 PM on Friday, April 25, through 5:00 AM on Monday, April 28.

During this period, Rockhill Drive will be closed at Horizon Boulevard. Additionally, the ramps linking northbound U.S. 1 to Rockhill Drive and westbound Rockhill Drive to southbound U.S. 1 will also be inaccessible.

Detours will direct motorists as follows:

  • Northbound U.S. 1 to Rockhill Drive (east side): Drivers will follow U.S. 1 north, exit at Penndel/Business U.S. 1, turn left onto southbound Old Lincoln Highway, proceed to Bristol Road, turn left, then turn right onto Neshaminy Boulevard to reach Rockhill Drive.
  • Northbound U.S. 1 to Rockhill Drive (west side): Drivers will exit U.S. 1 north at Penndel/Business U.S. 1 and turn left onto southbound Old Lincoln Highway to reach Rockhill Drive.
  • Westbound Rockhill Drive to southbound U.S. 1: Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 1 north, exiting at Penndel/Business U.S. 1, and turning left onto southbound Old Lincoln Highway to access the ramp for southbound U.S. 1.

Local access will be maintained throughout the closure. Motorists are encouraged to plan their travels accordingly and allow extra time, as delays and backups are expected. PennDOT has emphasized that all schedules remain weather dependent.
