Roadwork on Chestnut Street Ramp to I-95 to Cause Delays in Chester

CHESTER, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that roadway improvements will begin on Monday, July 22, affecting traffic flow in Chester, Delaware County.

From Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26, the ramp from Chestnut Street to northbound Interstate 95 will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. During the closure, motorists should follow the detour via 12th Street, Route 320, 9th Street, U.S. 13 (Morton Avenue/Chester Pike), and Stewart Avenue to access northbound I-95.

Drivers should plan for extra travel time, as backups and delays are expected around the work zone. All scheduled activities depend on weather conditions and may be rescheduled if necessary.
