PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations are scheduled next week across several major streets in Philadelphia.
From Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, a lane closure will be in effect from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Walnut Street between 33rd Street and 63rd Street (Cobbs Creek Parkway) for line striping. During the same period and hours, Castor Avenue will also see lane closures between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Richmond Street for similar work.
Additionally, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue will experience lane closures between Wheatsheaf Lane and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) for line striping.
Motorists should plan for slowdowns and allow extra time when traveling through these areas. Traffic backups and delays will occur due to the lane closures. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
