Roadway Improvements to Cause Lane Closures on Route 263 in Hatboro Borough

Road work

HATBORO, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that Hatboro Borough will undergo roadway improvements on Route 263 (York Road), starting Monday, December 11. These developments will result in weekday lane closures and potential delays for motorists.

The project, which is being carried out under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, will see lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays. The affected stretch is between Monument Avenue and Village Place, as well as between Byberry Road and Moreland Avenue.

These closures are scheduled to commence on Monday, December 11, and continue through Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Motorists are advised to factor in extra time when planning their commutes, as backups and delays are expected in the work areas.

As with all construction projects, the scheduled activities are dependent on suitable weather conditions. The project aims to improve road infrastructure and safety in Hatboro Borough, a crucial corridor in Montgomery County.

Local residents and businesses are urged to stay informed about the planned work and adjust their travel plans accordingly to minimize disruptions.
