LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Starting Monday, January 22, Lower Merion Township will commence a series of roadway improvements on Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) in Montgomery County. While these enhancements promise to improve the long-term quality of travel along this route, motorists should brace themselves for short-term delays.

From Monday, January 22, through Tuesday, April 30, a weekday lane closure is scheduled to occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in both directions on Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) between Llandrillo Road and Bala Avenue. This significant construction project will likely cause backups and delays, and motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area.

All scheduled activities associated with the roadway improvements are weather-dependent and may be subject to change based on weather conditions. PennDOT advises all motorists to stay alert when driving near the work zone and to pay attention to any potential signage or detour directions.
