Roadway Construction to Cause Traffic Delays on Route 3 in Newtown Township

NEWTOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced continuing roadway construction on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township, Delaware County as part of a local safety improvement project.

From Monday, June 17, through Friday, August 30, a weekday lane closure will be in place from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM in both directions between Boot Road and Bryn Mawr Avenue.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through this area, as backups and delays are expected. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
