BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced temporary road closures on three state highways in Bucks County as part of ongoing crack sealing operations. The work, essential for maintaining road surfaces and preventing further deterioration, will result in detours and potential delays for motorists.
On Monday, March 10, and Tuesday, March 11, Green Lane will be closed between Radcliffe Street and Mill Creek Road in Bristol Township and Bristol Borough. During this closure, drivers are advised to use alternate routes, including Radcliffe Street/Main Street, Fallsington Avenue, U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike), Edgley Road, and Mill Creek Road.
From midnight to 6:00 AM on Tuesday, March 11, and Wednesday, March 12, Woodbourne Road will be closed between New Falls Road and Route 213 (Maple Avenue) in Middletown and Bristol townships. Affected travelers are directed to detour via New Falls Road, Oxford Valley Road, Bristol Oxford Valley Road, southbound Business U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway), and Route 213 (Maple Avenue).
Further closures will take place on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14, also from midnight to 6:00 AM. During this period, Woodbourne Road will be inaccessible between Langhorne-Yardley Road and Route 213 (Maple Avenue) in Middletown Township. Detours will guide motorists along Route 213 (Maple Avenue), Flowers Mill Road, and Langhorne-Valley Road.
Throughout these closures, local access will remain available. PennDOT is urging drivers to allow extra travel time and prepare for potential backups and delays. All construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
These crack sealing operations reflect PennDOT’s commitment to preserving and enhancing road conditions across Bucks County. By addressing these surface issues early, the department aims to ensure safer and more reliable travel for the public in the months and years ahead.
