CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Quaker Houghton (NYSE: KWR) has unveiled its 2024 Sustainability Report, showcasing significant advancements in its environmental, social, and corporate governance strategy. The report reflects the company’s commitment to driving progress for a safer and more sustainable future through data-driven initiatives and innovative solutions.

The report highlights that Quaker Houghton achieved 90% of its internal sustainability goals in 2024. Key accomplishments include a 7% reduction in Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2023 and the elimination of over 23,000 metric tons of waste at QH FLUIDCARE™ partner locations in 2024, with a total of 70,000 metric tons removed since 2022. Additionally, 76% of the company’s global electricity consumption now comes from renewable or zero-carbon sources.

Joseph Berquist, Chief Executive Officer and President, emphasized the pivotal role sustainability plays in the company’s operations. “Sustainability remains core to Quaker Houghton and how we operate. The significant progress made in 2024 highlights our commitment and ability to adapt, while continuing to move the world forward safely and sustainably,” he stated. Berquist also pointed to external validation of their efforts, including receiving the EcoVadis Silver Award for sustainability performance.

The report also details the company’s focus on employee development, with a 75% rise in average training hours per employee compared to 2023. Furthermore, Quaker Houghton improved its safety performance for the fifth consecutive year, underpinned by its “Life Safe” core value.
