Proscia Unveils Next-Gen Concentriq AP to Revolutionize Pathology with AI

Proscia

PHILADELPHIA, PAProscia has launched an advanced version of its Concentriq AP platform. This update aims to transform how pathologists interpret some of the world’s most prevalent cancers through enhanced AI capabilities.

The latest version of Concentriq AP introduces the industry’s first multi-AI workflows. This feature allows pathologists to view results from multiple AI applications simultaneously on a single image. It enables a comprehensive analysis of breast, colon, gastric, lung, and prostate tissues. Proscia plans to expand this capability to include additional tissue types and use cases with third-party solutions.

“Proscia is ushering in a new era of AI in pathology,” said Derek C. Welch, M.D., Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice-President at PathGroup. “As AI continues to demonstrate benefits, laboratories are increasingly seeking to leverage a variety of applications. Concentriq AP now enables them to realize the collective value of a broad AI portfolio while providing a robust solution for their routine operations.”

The update also integrates DICOM image support. This standard lays the groundwork for improved IT efficiencies and interoperability. Additionally, the platform now features updated APIs, allowing seamless integration of third-party and custom AI applications into its multi-AI workflows.

Proscia’s commitment to global reach is evident in the new version’s support for 13 languages, catering to its expanding international customer base. Further enhancements in performance, scalability, and usability aim to help laboratories achieve total digitization.

Sowmya Ballakur, Proscia’s Senior Vice President of Product, emphasized the collaborative nature of the update. “We built the new version of Concentriq AP working closely with our growing customer base to realize our vision for pathology’s precision medicine future,” Ballakur said. “It gives them the features they need to scale their use of AI-enabled pathology and capitalize on the latest innovations that shape our understanding of disease.”
