CHESTER, PA — In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Power Home Remodeling has announced a significant partnership with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the oldest and largest Latino civil rights organization in the United States. As a commitment to fostering positive change within Latino communities, Power is contributing $100,000 to LULAC, reinforcing its dedication to diversity and community support.
This initiative is part of Power’s broader “Power for Good” commitment, which empowers employee resource groups (ERGs) to select nonprofits that align with their community values. The Mi Gente ERG, representing Power’s Latino community, selected LULAC for its efforts in economic, educational, and health advancements for Latinos.
Dr. Anu Gupta, Vice President of Community Impact at Power, emphasized the intentional selection process, stating, “At POWER, we’re intentional about partnering with organizations that embody our values, and passionate about putting our employees in the driver’s seat to make that decision.”
The partnership will kick off with a Family Fun Day & Health Fair in San Antonio on September 21st. This event aims to provide engaging activities and essential health services to local families, spearheaded by members of the Mi Gente ERG.
Roman Palomares, LULAC Chairman and National President, expressed the impact of the partnership, saying, “The progress LULAC has made in improving the lives of Latinos across the U.S. wouldn’t be possible without partners like POWER whose values align with our own.”
Through this collaboration, Power Home Remodeling and LULAC aim to enhance community health and unity, making a tangible difference in the lives of Latino families nationwide.
