CHESTER, PA — Power Home Remodeling has announced the recent appointment of Dr. Anu Gupta as Vice President of Community Impact, a move that aims to highlight the company’s commitment to community engagement. This position is a first for the home remodeling firm.

Dr. Gupta, who joins POWER from McKinsey & Company, will spearhead the company’s community impact strategy. “We are incredibly inspired and excited to have Anu architecting our community impact strategy,” said Asher Raphael, co-CEO of POWER. “We have extremely lofty goals for our employee-led giveback programs, and Anu’s personal and professional experience make her uniquely qualified to take on that challenge.”

At McKinsey, Dr. Gupta led philanthropic giving, environmental sustainability initiatives, and environmental, social, and governance actions (ESG). She was instrumental in creating McKinsey’s inaugural social responsibility and sustainability department, including their flagship philanthropic initiative, McKinsey.org. Prior to McKinsey, Dr. Gupta held leadership roles at The Fannie E. Rippel Foundation and Johnson & Johnson.

In her new role at POWER, Dr. Gupta will launch and oversee Power for Good, a suite of employee-led initiatives that put POWER employees at the heart of philanthropy. Power for Good allows employees to nominate, partner, volunteer, fundraise, and elevate national and local nonprofits’ causes, creating a ripple effect in communities across the country where POWER operates.

Additionally, Dr. Gupta will serve as president of the newly minted Power for Good Foundation. The foundation’s mission aligns with POWER’s broader goal of harnessing community potential.

POWER’s philanthropic efforts include backing Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to childhood cancer research. Over the past 15 years, POWER’s contributions to the foundation have exceeded $7.6 million. Since 2011, more than 70% of the company’s workforce has been mobilized to donate to the nonprofit.
