AMBLER, PAPourMyBeer, also known as PourMyBev, recently added Robert Thompson to its Board of Directors. Thompson, a renowned hospitality entrepreneur, brings extensive experience to the company as it continues to innovate in the beverage service industry.

Robert Thompson is the CEO of Joy Trade, an eatertainment platform featuring the Jaguar Bolera concept in Raleigh, N.C., and the upcoming Camp Pickle concept. Thompson is known for founding Punch Bowl Social and expanding it to 20 locations with $120 million in annual revenue.

In his recent ventures, Thompson secured significant funding for Joy Trade, with investments from industry leaders like Bill Allen, co-founder of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, and Stephen King, former CEO of Dave & Buster’s.

Thompson’s approach blends entertainment with excellent hospitality, aligning with PourMyBeer’s mission to enhance beverage service through self-pour technology. He implemented self-pour walls at Jaguar Bolera, offering wine, beer, and house-batched cocktails, to create a more engaging customer experience.

“When we develop new concepts, we observe customer behavior. We noticed our guests enjoy creating their own experiences and being spontaneous,” said Thompson. “PourMyBeer’s technology enhances customer experience and provides operational efficiencies. I am excited to join the Board of Directors to contribute to future innovations.”

Thompson’s work also focuses on adaptive reuse and historic preservation, having repurposed buildings for Punch Bowl Social and renovated a historic home in Denver.

“I admired Robert’s vision after hosting events at Punch Bowl Social in 2019,” said Josh Goodman, CEO and Founder of PourMyBeer. “Robert found it 80% easier to open Jaguar Bolera than any Punch Bowl Social due to our system and self-pour cocktails on tap. I am honored to collaborate and see where we can take this together.”

“We’re seeing a shift in the eatertainment sector where self-pour technology is gaining popularity,” said Jimmy Frischling, Managing Partner & Co-Founder at Branded Hospitality Group. “Self-pour technology meets the growing demand for interactive and customizable dining experiences by offering convenience, efficiency, and engagement for guests. We are excited to drive innovation alongside PourMyBeer.”
