DOYLESTOWN, PA — Authorities in Doylestown Borough are on the hunt for a male suspect in connection with an alleged theft from a local Wine and Spirits store, according to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department.

The incident reportedly occurred on January 5, 2024, around 2:45 PM at the store located at 132 Veterans Lane in Doylestown, PA. The suspect, believed to be in his sixties, allegedly stole seven bottles of tequila, amounting to a total value of $422.

According to the police report, the man, who was wearing tan pants, a white shirt, and a dark jacket, discreetly removed a black bag from underneath his jacket. He then strategically placed this bag in an aisle and made several trips back and forth between the bag and the tequila aisle. During these trips, he allegedly removed bottles from the shelf, placing them into the bag.

The suspect is reported to have left the scene in a gray Ford sedan with visible rear-end damage. As part of their ongoing investigation, the Central Bucks Regional Police Department is appealing to the public for any information related to the incident. Those with potential leads are encouraged to submit a tip online or contact Officer Kyle Maloney directly at 215-345-4143.

While the search for the suspect continues, it is crucial to remember that these are merely allegations. The principles of our justice system dictate that an individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These allegations, as well as any resulting criminal complaints or arrests, do not constitute a declaration of guilt.
