PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Friends of Father Judge High School (The Friends) has announced an unexpected gift of $1 million from the Elliott-Lewis Corporation. This generous contribution is geared towards the establishment of the Elliott-Lewis Mechanical Services Institute inside the school’s Career Pathways Academy (CPA) building.

Elliott-Lewis Corporation, the largest mechanical services contractor in the Delaware Valley, has shown consistent dedication toward nurturing the future of skilled labor. The high-tech learning institute will offer students comprehensive technical training in vital occupations that are in high demand in the modern job market. This initiative is a part of the CPA building project, which carries a total cost of $11.5 million and boasts a state-of-the-art facility spanning 20,000 square feet.

The Elliott-Lewis Mechanical Services Institute, alongside the Connelly Welding Lab and the Faulkner Automotive Institute, serves as the flagship programs offered in the CPA sector at Father Judge High School. It’s a significant move towards the amalgamation of hands-on technical learning with traditional academic structures.

Elliott-Lewis Corporation’s President, Mr. William R. Sautter — a distinguished alumni of Father Judge High School — voiced his gratitude and spoke of the life-altering impact the school had on him. Mr. Sautter firmly believes that the combination of deep academic knowledge and technical skills training is foundational to the success of the students enrolled in these programs. Elliott-Lewis Corporation stands tall in its initiative to enhance the pool of well-trained craftspersons and future leaders, addressing the current needs of employers and providing alternatives to conventional career pathways.

The President of Father Judge High School, Mr. Brian Patrick King, expressed his sincere gratitude and pride for Elliott-Lewis. This partnership will significantly contribute to the unique educational experience the school offers. Mr. King praised Mr. Bill Sautter, highlighting his importance in the Father Judge community and his embodiment of the school’s ethos of success.

Mr. St. Clair thanked Elliott-Lewis for its contributions, underscoring how this opportunity will exceed the students’ educational expectations, preparing them for a successful future.

The Friends of Father Judge High School, Inc., established in 2002, is a non-profit corporation dedicated to fundraising for the high school. All funds raised by the organization are securely designated for use at the school. This endeavor has allowed them to invest over $17 million towards campus improvements, financial aid, and complementary academic programs, ensuring an enriching educational experience for the students. The addition of the CPA is one more step towards providing a diverse educational environment capable of shaping successful future careers.
