Philadelphia Police Seek Two Men in Connection with Alleged Store Robbery

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia Police’s Northwest Detective Division is actively seeking to identify two men alleged to have orchestrated a robbery at a local store.

The incident took place on February 24, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m. at a store located at 1619 E. Wadsworth. According to the complainant, two unknown males coordinated a robbery at her shop while she was working at the register.

The complainant reported that an unknown black male first entered the store and appeared to fall, acting as though he was incapacitated. As she left her register to assist him, an unknown white male, who had entered the store after the first man, allegedly ran to the register and emptied all the cash from it. As a store employee attempted to intervene, the second man reportedly sprayed pepper spray in the employee’s face.

Surveillance video from the scene shows both men conversing outside the store before the robbery, suggesting a premeditated plan. The first man’s fall appears to have been a distraction allowing the second man to rob the register. Both suspects fled the scene before police arrived.

Suspect one is described as a black male, aged between 30 to 40 years, wearing a grey and black jacket and a green Eagles hat with a black brim. Suspect two is described as a white male, also aged between 30 to 40 years, wearing a black “True Religion” sweatshirt, a black baseball hat, and blue jeans.

Authorities are urging anyone who spots these suspects not to approach but to call 911 immediately. Tips can be submitted via telephone by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting the same number. All tips will be kept confidential. The Northwest Detective Division can be reached at 215-686-3353/3354.
