Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Sexual Assault Case

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Special Victims Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of sexually assaulting an employee at a Walmart store. The alleged assault occurred on January 8, 2024, at around 8:05 p.m. at the store located at 1675 S. Columbus Boulevard.

Authorities have provided a description of the suspect: an unknown black male, approximately 5’9″ to 6’0″ tall, with a medium build and dreadlock-style hair that is black with brown tips. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black “North Face” jacket with a hood, gray sweatpants, and black shoes.

Officials have advised anyone who spots the suspect not to approach him, but to contact 911 immediately. Those who might have information related to the case or the suspect can also submit a tip by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting the same number. All tips will be kept confidential.
