Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Liquor Theft

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Central Detective Division is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a man allegedly involved in a theft at Tela’s Market located at 1833 Fairmount Avenue.

The incident occurred on March 12, 2024, at approximately 3:28 am. An unknown individual, described as a black male, allegedly broke the door glass to gain entry to the market. Once inside, he reportedly took several bottles of liquor before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The suspect was wearing a dark hooded jacket with a graphic on the left chest, left arm, and top of the hood, along with dark pants at the time of the incident. He was also seen carrying a blue “Aldi” bag.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information regarding this crime to contact the Central Detective Division at 215-686-3093/3094, specifically Detective Vance with ID#: DC 24-09-009565. Tips can also be submitted via phone by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or by texting a tip to the same number. All tips will remain confidential.

Residents are advised not to approach the suspect if seen, but to contact 911 immediately.
