Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Fatal Shooting Outside Barn Bar and Lounge

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit has issued an appeal to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect connected to the shooting death of a 36-year-old man. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2:17 a.m. outside of the Barn Bar and Lounge located at 49th & Baltimore Avenue.

The suspect, described as a Black male in his mid-30s to early 40s with a medium to stocky build, a beard and mustache, and braided hair at the time of the incident, was seen fleeing the scene in a distinctive blue Dodge Charger. The vehicle is notable for its dark tinted windows, black aftermarket rims, and red racing stripes going across the trunk, top, and hood of the car, which also features a ram air hood.

Authorities are urging anyone who sees the suspect not to approach him but to contact 911 immediately.

The City of Philadelphia has announced it is offering a reward of $20,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. The police department is encouraging anyone with information about this crime or the suspect to reach out to them.
