Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Assault Suspect

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Central Detective Division of the Philadelphia Police Department is actively seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an assault that occurred on October 7, 2023.

The incident took place at approximately 8:45 PM in a bar located on the 100 block of Chestnut Street. The victim, a 25-year-old male, was reportedly approached from behind by an unknown white male who allegedly punched him multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim sustained a deep laceration to his right calf, which required 17 stitches.

The suspect is described as a white male, unshaven, dressed in a “Phillies 26 Utley” jersey, dark pants, and two-tone “Nike” sneakers. Police urge anyone who sees the suspect not to approach but to contact 911 immediately.
