PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia’s Central Detective Division is turning to the public for help in identifying a man captured in a still photo, who is suspected of assaulting a woman in broad daylight.
The incident occurred on January 18, 2024, around 4:03 p.m. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, was walking along the 100 block of South 11th Street when the alleged assailant reportedly punched her on the left side of the head. The blow caused a laceration behind her ear, for which she received treatment at Jefferson Hospital.
The suspect is described as a black male, standing about 6’0″ tall, with dreadlock hair. He was seen wearing all dark clothing at the time of the alleged assault.
Authorities are urging anyone who spots the suspect not to approach him but to contact 911 immediately. Those with information that may aid the ongoing investigation are encouraged to submit a tip by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting the same number. All tips will be kept confidential.
