LANCASTER, PA — Timothy Lee Abner, a 37-year-old Philadelphia resident, is at the heart of an ongoing investigation following allegations of retail theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft. The Manheim Township Police Department has issued a warrant for his arrest.

The alleged incident took place on October 31, 2023, at Dick’s Sporting Goods store located at 1587 Fruitville Pike. Three men are reported to have left the store without paying for merchandise from popular brands Nike and North Face. The items are estimated to be worth $4,572.99.

According to the reporting party, the suspects made no attempt to pay for the items and intentionally avoided the final points of sale. They then exited the store together, entered a red sedan, and swiftly left the parking lot.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage, which showed the three suspects entering the store, selecting various items, and leaving with the unpaid merchandise. On November 22, 2023, information relating to the identities of the suspects was found. They were later arrested by the Pocono Township Police Department for retail theft.

One of these suspects was identified as Timothy Lee Abner. As a result, a criminal complaint was filed, and an arrest warrant was obtained. Despite these developments, Abner remains at large, and the Manheim Township Police Department is urging anyone with information about Abner’s whereabouts to come forward by calling 717-569-6401 or providing information anonymously online here.

While these allegations are serious, it is crucial to remember that an arrest, a criminal complaint, or information does not constitute a declaration of guilt. Timothy Lee Abner, like any suspect, arrestee, or defendant, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
