PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) has announced a rebranding of its political action committee, CPA-PAC, to align with modern advocacy and professional challenges. The refreshed branding underscores the PAC’s commitment to supporting CPAs and strengthening their voice in Pennsylvania’s legislative and political arenas.
“For decades, the CPA-PAC has been a trusted voice in Harrisburg, working to educate and support lawmakers while giving CPAs in Pennsylvania a voice at the public policy level,” said R. Charles Waring, CPA, CITP, CISA Chair of the CPA-PAC Board of Trustees. “Our new look symbolizes the PAC’s forward-thinking approach to advocacy, while we continue our mission of supporting policies that align with the interests of Pennsylvania’s broader business community.”
The CPA-PAC plays a critical role in promoting CPA involvement in the political process. By providing financial support to candidates for statewide offices like Governor, Auditor General, Treasurer, as well as State House and Senate positions, the PAC influences policies that advance the profession and the state’s business community.
Jennifer Cryder, CPA, MBA, and CEO of PICPA, emphasized the importance of membership support to the PAC’s ongoing success. “We continue to be grateful for the support our members provide through their donations and thoughtful insights that guide our influential presence in Harrisburg. None of this would be possible without member support,” Cryder stated. She added, “2025 is shaping up to be a critical year for the future of our profession, and we intend to be front and center when it comes to advocating in the best interests of our profession and the broader PA business community.”
The rebranding marks an important milestone in CPA-PAC’s mission to ensure meaningful advocacy for Pennsylvania CPAs and a more effective relationship with lawmakers, ensuring the profession can meet the demands of today’s political and economic climate.
