LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming construction work on U.S. 422 as part of an $83.6 million initiative to enhance and rebuild approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway. The project, located between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Montgomery County, includes significant upgrades to roadways and bridges within the area.
Scheduled to begin Monday, March 10, specific construction activities will result in temporary lane closures. Eastbound U.S. 422 will see lane closures from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM between Armand Hammer Boulevard and Evergreen Road on March 10 and 11 for bridge construction. Additionally, from March 12 through 14, periodic single-lane closures will affect westbound and eastbound traffic between Route 100 and Keim Street in Chester County for sign construction. These closures will occur during morning and daytime hours.
PennDOT has advised motorists to anticipate traffic delays and plan accordingly when traveling through the affected areas. The construction schedule remains weather dependent.
