PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the construction on Aramingo Avenue at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange, initially set for August 6-9, has been postponed to next week due to adverse weather conditions.

From 6:00 AM on Monday, August 12, until 3:00 PM on Friday, August 16, the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to both northbound and southbound I-95 at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange will be closed for intersection improvements. Drivers will be directed to use the nearby intersection of Aramingo Avenue and Adams Avenue to access I-95.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time through the work area due to expected backups and delays. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

This intersection work is part of the nearly completed $93.6 million I-95 Section BR2 project, which aims to enhance the connections between I-95, the Betsy Ross Bridge, and surrounding surface streets.
