HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has scheduled an inlet repair next week on Lawrence Road in Haverford Township. This forms part of a larger initiative to repair and pave 28 state highways in Delaware County.

From Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 8, a lane closure will be in effect on Lawrence Road between Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Eagle Road. The closure will take place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time when passing through the work area, as slowdowns are expected. All scheduled activities are subject to change based on weather conditions.

This work is part of a broader pavement improvement project by PennDOT, which involves milling and resurfacing 45 miles of state highways in Delaware County with bituminous material. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide a smoother surface for motorists.

Allan Myers of Worcester, Montgomery County, PA, is serving as the general contractor for this resurfacing project. With a budget of $16,945,945, the project is completely financed by state funds.
