Traffic Restrictions

LOWER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced plans for utility construction on two major thoroughfares in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, as part of a local safety improvement project. The work is scheduled to take place next week and will result in lane closures.

From Tuesday, January 2, 2024, through Friday, January 5, 2024, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, there will be a lane closure on Park Avenue between Eagleville Road and Sandpiper Road. Simultaneously, another lane closure will occur on Eagleville Road between Blue Teel Circle and Park Avenue.

These closures are expected to lead to backups and delays. Therefore, motorists are advised to allow extra travel time when commuting through these work areas. All planned activities are subject to weather conditions and may be rescheduled or delayed in the event of inclement weather.

As always, drivers are encouraged to remain cautious and alert when traveling through work zones for their safety and the safety of construction workers.
