PennDOT Announces Slope Repair on Route 32 in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County

BRIDGETON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has scheduled slope repair on Route 32 (River Road) in Bridgeton Township, Bucks County. This project is part of PennDOT’s efforts to repair state highways that sustained damage from the remnants of Hurricane Ida in September 2021 across Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties.

Motorists should be aware of the following travel restriction: From Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 22, Route 32 (River Road) will be closed 24/7 between Firehouse Lane and Bridgeton Hill Road. During this closure, motorists are directed to use Route 611 (Easton Road), Old Easton Road, and Dark Hollow Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area due to expected slowdowns. Local access will be maintained throughout the project duration, and all scheduled activities are weather dependent.

J. D. Eckman, Inc., based in Atglen, Chester County, is the general contractor for this $1.8 million project, which is financed with 80 percent federal funds and 20 percent state funds.
