SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Resurfacing operations are slated to begin on several state highways in Delaware and Montgomery counties as part of ongoing Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) projects. The initiative aims to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region, enhancing road safety and driving conditions for motorists.
Motorists should be prepared for the following daytime travel restrictions:
In Delaware County,
- On Monday, November 20, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Highland Avenue between 15th Street and Bethel Road in the City of Chester for paving.
- On the same day and Tuesday, November 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will occur on Haverford Road between Winchester Road/Karakung Road and the Delaware County line in Haverford Township for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
- Similar closures will happen on Brookline Boulevard between Darby Road and Earlington Road in Haverford Township.
- On Tuesday, November 21, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is planned on U.S. 13/Route 291 (2nd Street) between Penn Street and the Route 291 Bridge over Chester Creek in the City of Chester for paving.
- Also, on Tuesday, November 21, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Wednesday, November 22, from 8:00 AM to noon, a lane closure is scheduled on Flower Street/Edwards Street between 7th Street and the end of Edwards Road in the City of Chester for paving.
In Montgomery County,
- From Saturday, November 18, through Tuesday, November 21, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Upper Ridge Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and the Bucks County line in Green Lane Borough and Marlborough Township for milling and paving.
Motorists should anticipate delays in work areas and allocate additional travel time. Scheduled activities are subject to weather conditions.
