MIDDLETOWN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced scheduled bridge repair work on two major roadways next week, targeting northbound Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia and Interstate 295 in Middletown Township, Bucks County.
The repair work on I-95 will take place Friday, March 21, and will involve a single lane closure from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, followed by a double lane closure from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM. The affected stretch will be between Island Avenue and Penrose Avenue.
Additionally, on I-295, work is scheduled from Wednesday, March 26, through Friday, March 28. Single lane closures will occur from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with double lane closures from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM on the eastbound and westbound approaches to U.S. 1.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and allocate extra travel time when navigating these areas. PennDOT has emphasized that all construction schedules are weather dependent and encourages drivers to remain alert and patient during these maintenance periods.
