PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced schedule adjustments for bridge and sign inspections on Interstate 95 and other key state highways across Philadelphia and Bucks counties. These inspections, aimed at ensuring safety and infrastructure integrity, are set to cause various lane closures throughout February.
On Monday, February 3, a moving left lane closure is scheduled from 11 AM to 3 PM at the University Avenue ramp to westbound I-76 in Philadelphia for a sign inspection. On Tuesday, February 4, alternating lane closures will occur on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between the Fox Street and I-76 interchanges from 9 AM to 1 PM, also for sign inspection. Additionally, the same day from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, bridge inspections will be conducted on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) with alternating closures in both directions between Friendship Street and Ryan Avenue.
Further north in Bucks County, a moving right lane closure on northbound I-95 is scheduled for Thursday, February 6, between Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) and Route 132 (Street Road) interchanges in Bensalem Township, from 9 AM to 1 PM. Another round of bridge inspections will occur on Tuesday, February 11, from 9 AM to 12 PM, along I-95 at the I-676 Interchange in Philadelphia with alternating closures in both directions.
Motorists are advised to allocate additional travel time as slowdowns are expected near active work areas. All inspection schedules are subject to weather conditions.
