Pedestrian Fatality in Lansdale Under Investigation After Tragic Vehicle Crash

LANSDALE, PA — A pedestrian was fatally injured in a vehicle collision on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Lansdale, as confirmed by local authorities. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 8:48 PM near the intersection of Church Road and Station Square Boulevard.

The victim, identified as 57-year-old Victor Bonanni, reportedly entered the roadway between Pennbrook Parkway and Station Square Boulevard when he was struck by a southbound vehicle. Following the incident, the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.

Emergency teams promptly responded, and Bonanni was transported by VMSC to Lansdale Hospital. Despite the immediate medical attention, Bonanni succumbed to a head wound and multiple traumatic injuries. He was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Officers from the Lansdale Police Department were the first to respond to the scene of the crash. They were later joined by Hatfield and Towamencin Township Police Officers who are part of the North Penn Crash Team, as well as officers from the Montgomery Township Police Department and Upper Gwynedd Police Department.
